Wills

If you die without a Will it may cost more money and time to bring matters to closure, so it is important to have an Estate Plan for your family before you die.

What matters need to be considered when you have a Will?
Who do you want the executor to be?
Who do you want to appoint as guardian for your child or children?
Who would your beneficiaries be?
Do you have any specific bequests
How would you like your estate to be distributed?

Trusts

There are 2 types of trusts, Revocable and Irrevocable. A Revocable Trust, also known as a Living Trust, can be changed at some point in the future. An Irrevocable trust cannot be changed, but can provide certain tax benefits. Please call our office to discuss which one is right for you.

Power of Attorneys

A good estate plan will encompass a Power of Attorney for Property and a Power of Attorney for Health Care. Both Power of Attorneys would grant a designated individual to act on your behalf if you are unable to do so. This would give the person that you appoint the ability to take care of your property or health care needs.

Living Will

This allows a designated individual to make medical decisions on your behalf when you are unable to. Many people do not want their life prolonged with the use of machines.
